Shropshire Star

KHD was contracted to undertake the complete site clearance of the former Shropshire Star offices and newspaper printing facility located in Ketley, Telford. This comprehensive project included a series of critical tasks, such as extensive asbestos removal, soft strip-out of interior materials, and the careful de-planting of heavy-duty newspaper printing equipment. Additionally, our team managed the demolition of all structures on the site, along with the removal of concrete slabs and foundations, ensuring the site was fully cleared and prepared for future use.

The project was situated in a densely populated area, surrounded by major roadways, residential properties, and an adjacent industrial estate, which required careful planning and coordination to minimize disruption. Despite the complex location and scope of work, our team successfully completed the project ahead of schedule, allowing our client to proceed with their ongoing development plans without delay.
